Offered for sale is this really beautifully presented Bimota KB1
This is the more sought after A Kit model with the Marzocchi forks
Using the Kawasaki Z1000 engine this is one of the great Tamburini designed bikes that is now reaching iconic status with collectors around the world. The detail is exquisite and the bike itself is superb
The bike was imported from Germany, UK registered 2014 and has Historic status
As it was originally a German bike the fuel tank is aluminium, this is a great bonus these days with ethanol fuel melting fiberglass tanks. Most KB1’s had fiberglass tanks.
The bike had a few Wiseco stickers on it when it was first imported and the carb main jets are much larger (130) than standard so we think it probably has a big bore kit installed, but can’t confirm this.
The engine valve shimming has also been converted to a shim under bucket arrangement, standard is normally shim on top of bucket.
The bike was dismantled a couple of years ago for restoration.
Frame and swinging arm were powder coated.
Wheels were crack tested then powder coated. New wheel bearings.
New tyres.
Forks stripped, painted and rebuild with new seals etc.
New steering head bearings.
Brakes calipers and master cylinders were disassembled, cerakoted and rebuild with new seals, brake pads etc.

The engine was checked over, compression checked, valve clearances were checked and shimmed as required. Oil and filter change, Carbs ultrasonically cleaned. Upon reinstalling the engine in the frame the carbs were balanced.
Lots of fasteners were replated as required.
Fairing, tank and seat unit have been professionally repaired and re-painted.
